Bounce into spring with this All Berry Bonanza smoothie!  Filled with All-Bran fibre (Australian women are recommended to eat 25 grams of dietary fibre and men 30g grams per day), frozen berries and protein powder – this refreshing smoothie is best drank from 0-30 mins after your workout!

The reason we add protein powder to this recipe is to help rejuvenate your muscles and put those much needed amino acids back into your system to prevent your body from using its own muscle tissue for energy.

Blueberries alone are full of antioxidants that help to protect our bodies from illness & free radicals (which are oxygen molecules that damage our bodies’ cells).  Not only do they taste delicious they are a great source of Vitamin K.

Regardless of all the health benefits, let’s be honest – we drink this smoothie because it simply tastes great!  And if you prep all your fruit by washing, cutting and freezing the berries into smaller bags – it will mean you can whizz up this Berry Bang in no time.

What you will need:

4 cubes of ice

250ml of coconut water

1 Cup of All-Bran Fibre cereal

3/4 cup of berries  (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) purchased fresh and then a small handful of each placed into a freezer bag, so you have little frozen bags ready in the freezer)

1 tablespoon of Black and White Chia seeds

1 Scoop of Protein powder

1 Scoop of Optional Collagen Hydrolysate (pure unflavoured protein)

  1. Place the 250ml of Coconut water into the blender.
  2. Followed by 1 cup of All Bran and 3/4 cup of Frozen berries (or one frozen small bag).
  3. 1 tablespoon of Black and White Chia seeds.
  4. 1 scoop of your protein powder (the scoop comes with the product).

Optional – You can also add a Scoop of Optional Collagen Hydrolysate (pure unflavoured protein), this product helps to regulate the body’s metabolism by providing protein of low molecular weight that is quickly absorbed in the digestive tract.  It also thickens up your smoothie to make you feel fuller for longer.

  1. Give the canister a shake to mix up all the ingredients and then whizz it up and blend.

Note: to ensure the powder does not stick to the bottom of the blender, place the ingredients into the blender in the above order.
